Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao uses PNTL Patrol Boats for his holiday in Tutuala

The Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmao, used state resources during a five day break in Tutuala, Lautem with his family and foreign friends. The Prime Minister is often critical of Government civil servants that use state cars and use tinted windows in Dili and other places for personal use and to advance private interests but criticize the functionaries only, yet he himself also uses state resources in order to enjoy his holidays in Lautem Tutuala.
The Prime Minister was too busy using state resources enjoying himself on his five-day holiday with his family and foreign friends that he was unable to attend a ceremony in Lore to intern the bones of Ajunto Fernando Txai Member of the Central Committee, his former comrade during resistance times. The ceremony in Lore happened on 3 April 2011 was attended by many leading political leaders including former premier Mari Alkatiri and leading figures in the F-FDTL including Brigadier Lere Anan Timor, Mauhunu and Colonel Falur Rate Laeok. Although the ceremony took place close by, the Prime Minister preferred to go on holiday, using state assets in Tutuala.
James Coy USAID Land Adviser participated in the holiday with Prime Minister Xanana and his family in Tutuala, using state assets.  This international adviser is as well using state assets for their holiday.

Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao and his wife Kirsty Sword Gusmao use up PNTL  patrol boats during their holiday in Tutuala. The PNTL boat is used for holidays and cruising around Jaco Island.
Ms. Melissa Day, IFC International Finance Corporation Representative and her husband James Coy, USAID adviser on land issues for USAID make a holiday on the state boat in Com and Tutuala along with the Prime Minister and their families.

The Prime Minister went on his holidays from Dili on a boat given by a company owned by Lorenco Atauro. The PNTL patrol boats went from Dili in order to give support to the Prime Minister and ensure he fully enjoyed his five-day holiday from 29 March to 4 April 2011 together with his family and James Coy (Land Adviser, USAID) and Melissa Day (International Finance Corporation) and their family. Prime Minister Xanana took a five days holiday in Tutuala. It is not understood who paid for the cost of the fuel used up by the Prime Minister and his international freinds during their holiday. It is also not known who paid the per diems of the maritime police that worked during the holiday of the Prime Minister. If the per diems of the maritime police were paid by the state, then it seems like state resources were used by the Prime Minister to enjoy his holidays.
